María Nieves Goicoechea is a Professor at the Environmental Biology Department within the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Navarra. She is affiliated with the Institute of Biodiversity and Environment (BIOMA) and leads the Stress Physiology in Plants research group.
- PhD in Environmental Biology (University of Navarra, 1996)
Her research focuses on plant responses to environmental stressors, particularly drought effects on phytohormones and nutrient content in symbiotic relationships between plants and rhizobia/mycorrhizae. This work bridges plant physiology, ecological stress responses, and agricultural sustainability.
