Manuela Latchoumaya

Manuela Latchoumaya is a Researcher in the Department of Sociology, specializing in postcolonial theory, memory studies, and nationalism. She contributes to the ORCID-linked project ‘Constructing and Commemorating the Postcolonial Nation’, directed by Dr. Meghan Tinsley, which analyzes monuments as tools for nation-building in post-independence Ghana, Guinea, Barbados, and Martinique.

Her recent publications focus on racialization, identity politics, and the intersection of Blackness and whiteness in contemporary France.
