About
Manuel Pino García is a Research Fellow at the University of Salamanca, where he leads the Nano-Lab. Previously, he conducted postdoctoral research at Rutgers University under Lev B. Ioffe. His work focuses on quantum phases, superconductivity, and quantum computing hardware. He earned his PhD with a thesis on low-temperature transport in disordered materials.
Research interests include quantum glasses, non-ergodic phases, and error correction in quantum annealers. His contributions span theoretical proposals for Majorana qubits, novel qubit coupler designs, and analysis of bad metal phases. Recent work emphasizes ultrastrong qubit coupling and flux qubit architectures.
Publications highlight advancements in quantum hardware and theoretical models for non-equilibrium systems. Collaborations include teams at Rutgers and the University of Salamanca. Current efforts aim to bridge quantum materials research with practical quantum computing applications.
