Manos Vlasiou

Manos Vlasiou is an Assistant Professor at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nicosia. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cyprus. His research focuses on anticancer drug development, biomimetic chemistry, and computational methods in drug discovery. Key areas include the synthesis and evaluation of metal-based complexes (e.g., vanadium, cobalt, copper) for anticancer and antimicrobial applications, as well as the use of spectroscopic techniques and computational chemistry to study molecular interactions. He leads the Computer-aided Drug Discovery project and contributes to advancing drug design methodologies for zoonotic diseases and neurodegenerative disorders. His work also involves analyzing food adulteration using advanced NMR techniques.

Education: PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cyprus.
