Manon Veaudor holds roles as a Visiting Professor at the School of Anthropology, Sociology and Political Science (ASSP), Université Lumière Lyon-2, and an Associate Researcher at Cesdip (UMR 8183). She is also an Honorary University Professor of Economics. Associated with the Triangle laboratory since September 2022, her postdoctoral research focuses on penal placement and detention of minors, examining family reconfigurations under penal constraint and new forms of judicial supervision. Her PhD thesis, "The ‘Borders’ of the Prison Order: Assignment, Negotiation of Identities, and Surveillance in Remand Centers", was defended in 2020 under the supervision of Jacques De Mailllard and Christian Mouhanna. Her research bridges the sociology of institutions, family sociology, and the effects of public policy on targeted social groups.
Research interests include penal systems, family dynamics under institutional pressure, and the sociology of public action. She has investigated practices of producing order in prisons and identification processes, with a focus on ethnographic and comparative methodologies.
