Manolis Patedakis is an Assistant Professor of Byzantine Philology at the University of Crete. He holds a PhD from the University of Oxford and completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Crete.

- Texts and literature of the Palaeologan period
- Inscriptions and manuscript culture in medieval and early modern Crete
- Works of Symeon the New Theologian
- Critical editions of unpublished Byzantine texts
