Manh Hung Nguyen

Dr. Manh Hung Nguyen is a Researcher at the Environmental Economics department of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at VU Amsterdam. He focuses on behavioral experiments to study economic incentives promoting sustainable behaviors among individuals, businesses, and governments. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and sustainable agriculture.

His research interests include behavioral economics, agricultural sustainability, and policy analysis. He currently leads the Horizon Europe project PLUSChange, addressing land-use strategies for climate, biodiversity, and social equity. Previously, he contributed to the GREAT project studying gender equality and sustainable farming practices.

He has received the Monbukagakusho MEXT Scholarship for his PhD program. His peer-reviewed publications explore topics like pesticide compliance among farmers and academic cheating in the AI era.
