Manfred Broy

Professor Manfred Broy is a renowned computer scientist and TUM alumnus, having spent nearly four decades at the university. He earned his Diplom in Mathematics (1976), PhD (1980), and habilitation (1982) at TUM. As a professor, he became the founding dean of TUM’s Department of Computer Science (1992) and later served as founding president of the Zentrum Digitalisierung.Bayern (ZD.B). His research focuses on software systems, embedded systems, and the societal impacts of digitalization.
