Mandy van Koppen

Mandy van Koppen is a Junior Assistant Professor at Utrecht University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She works in the Department of Clinical Sciences, specializing in clinical education for companion animals (dogs, cats, rabbits), including diagnostics labs, clinical reasoning tutorials, and station tests. Since December 2024, she has also served as a junior lecturer for the Educational Scholarship of Veterinary Medicine, focusing on professional identity development, personal well-being, and veterinary communication in bachelor's and master's programs.

Her research interests emphasize clinical veterinary education, EDI initiatives, and student professional development. She is actively involved in curriculum design, internship coordination, and promoting inclusivity in veterinary medicine.

Mandy holds a Master of Veterinary Medicine from Utrecht University (2013–2018) and has combined clinical practice with academic roles since 2019.
