Manashi Nath

Dr. Manashi Nath is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Missouri University of Science and Technology, serving as Chair of the Graduate Affairs Committee and holding Research Investigator roles at the Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Storage (CREE) and Materials Research Center (MRC).

Her educational qualifications include:

• PhD in Solid State Chemistry and Nanomaterials, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (2004-2008)
• M.S. in Nanomaterials, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (1999)
• B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry, Presidency College, West Bengal (1997)

Dr. Nath's research centers on functional materials development for renewable energy, environmental solutions, and biomedical applications. Her group pioneers electrocatalysts for water splitting, CO2-to-fuels conversion systems, biomarker detection sensors, nanostructured solar energy materials, and magnetic theranostic platforms. This interdisciplinary work bridges chemistry, nanotechnology, and engineering to address global energy and healthcare challenges through innovative material design.

She leads the active Nath Research Group, driving projects from fundamental nanomaterial synthesis to device implementation across energy conversion, environmental remediation, and diagnostic technologies.
