Manar Darwish serves as Senior Lecturer and Director of Arabic and Director of Arabic Language Study in Sijal at Bryn Mawr College, affiliated with the Department of Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and North African Studies.
Her academic background includes undergraduate studies at the American University in Cairo and graduate work at the University of Washington in Seattle, where her thesis analyzed "The Inscriptional Evidence from the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa Mosque: 750-1099: An Analysis."
