Manali Mukherjee

Manali Mukherjee, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at McMaster University and an Immunologist specializing in lung health and disease. Her research focuses on asthma pathogenesis, autoimmunity in respiratory disorders, and the interplay between inflammation and airway dysfunction. She leads the Mukherjee Lab (mukherjeexlab.com), investigating mechanisms of eosinophilic asthma, post-COVID respiratory sequelae, and biomarkers for disease severity. Her work integrates immunology, molecular biology, and clinical data to advance precision medicine strategies for chronic respiratory conditions.
