Malin Siegwart

Malin Siegwart is a Research Fellow and Co-Head of the Research Group at the Competence Center Thermal Energy Storage (CC-TES) within the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Energy Technology at Hochschule Luzern. She specializes in process engineering with focus areas in renewable energies and energy storage. Her educational background includes Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering from ETH Zürich.

Research focuses on decarbonization of the energy sector, particularly through projects such as CO₂ storage, thermochemical energy storage, and energy system analysis. Current research explores seasonal thermal energy storage solutions and sustainable energy systems.

Awards include being elected 'Teacher of the Year' by students at Kantonsschule Kollegium Schwyz in 2023 for physics instruction.

She co-leads the Research Group Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage and teaches the course 'Sustainable Energy Systems'. Previously worked at Helbling Technik AG in thermodynamic product development.
