Malene Roland Vils Pedersen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Regional Health Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark, and is affiliated with IRS – Lillebælt Hospital, Research Unit of Radiology (Vejle). She also holds an adjunct senior lecturer position at University College Cork (2024–2026). Her academic work spans research, teaching, supervision, and extensive peer review activities.
Her research interests lie in epidemiological investigations within radiology and diagnostics, particularly in optimizing follow-up protocols for diseases such as testicular and colorectal cancer. She employs advanced imaging modalities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and EOS imaging to improve patient outcomes and diagnostic accuracy.
Her recent publications reflect a strong focus on testicular macrocalcification, pediatric MRI without anesthesia, chronic disease cohort development, and radiography research productivity in Denmark. These works span disciplines such as oncology, public health, medical imaging, and health informatics.
