Malcolm Xing

Dr. Malcolm Xing is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba's Price Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on biomaterials for tissue repair, bioadhesion, hemostasis, and biofabrication. He has pioneered smart hydrogels for applications in cardiac repair, burn treatment, and sutureless surgery, with over 190 publications in top journals like Nature Biomedical Engineering and Science Advances. He holds editorial roles in Bioactive Materials, Burns & Trauma, and the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences.

Education: PhD in Biosystems Engineering from the University of California (2007).
