Mala Raghavan

Associate Professor Mala Raghavan is an academic at the University of Tasmania, serving as Discipline Leader in Economics and Finance within the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics. Her research focuses on financial economics, macroeconomic policy, and international trade dynamics, with a particular emphasis on the ASEAN region and environmental governance of Antarctic ecosystems. She has contributed to over 38 peer-reviewed publications, including high-impact studies on climate policy and commodity price volatility. Her work spans empirical analyses of oil-exporting economies, fiscal policy frameworks, and the macroeconomic implications of trade shocks.
