Dr. Khan’s research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, particularly the synthesis and characterization of advanced magnetic and superconducting materials. His work explores multifunctional properties such as coupled magnetic/structural transitions, giant magnetocaloric effects, exchange bias, and high-performance permanent magnets. Techniques include arc melting, high-temperature annealing, x-ray diffraction, and magneto-transport measurements.
His recent publications (2018–2019) emphasize Heusler alloys, doped semiconductors, and perovskite derivatives, with keywords spanning superconductivity, magnetism, and nanotechnology. Subfields include magnetic phase transitions, magnetocaloric effects, exchange bias, structural characterization, doping effects, and quantum dots.
Students at both undergraduate and graduate levels are encouraged to join his lab to gain hands-on experience in magnetic materials synthesis and characterization, from sample preparation to advanced experimental techniques.
