Mahmoud Abido is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University and serves as Assistant Director of the Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC). His research focuses on energy storage, renewable energy, electricity grid modeling, solar thermal systems, and decarbonization strategies. He holds a Ph.D. (2024) from the University of California Merced, and M.Sc. (2020) and B.Sc. (2014) degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Cairo University.
