Magnus Olav Nyaas Ravnå

Magnus Olav Nyaas Ravnå is a Researcher and PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Social Anthropology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on peatland restoration in Norway, exploring the transformation of peatlands from being historically viewed as "water sick earth" to critical ecosystems for carbon storage and climate change mitigation. He examines the interplay between global and national environmental regulations and local implementation practices, as well as how changing bureaucratic frameworks and infrastructure shape relationships with nature.

His research also addresses the relationship between environmental infrastructure and governance systems.
