Magnus Lindberg

Magnus Lindberg is a Lecturer at the University of Gävle, Sweden, with 25 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse specializing in renal care. He holds a PhD in Nursing Science from Uppsala University (2010) and was appointed Associate Professor in Nursing Science at the University of Gävle in 2017. Currently, he leads clinical research focused on optimizing health outcomes for patients with long-term illnesses, particularly those undergoing hemodialysis, while also contributing to infection prevention studies.

His methodological expertise includes psychometrics, with a focus on developing and validating healthcare instruments. He served as Subject Manager for Postgraduate Education in Nursing Science at the University of Gävle (2022–2023) and teaches scientific methods at undergraduate, advanced, and postgraduate levels.

Lindberg's research projects include:

• Studying non-specific treatment factors in cancer care outcomes
• Exploring prolonged working life for older adults
• Acupuncture for chemotherapy-induced neurotoxicity
• Geriatric care in anesthesia and intensive care units

He supervises master's and doctoral students and has secured grants from AFA-Försäkring and the University of Gävle for stress disorder studies among hemodialysis nurses.
