Magie Beck

Magie Beck is an Associate Professor of Clarinet at Eastern Illinois University's Department of Music. She teaches applied clarinet, general education courses, and directs the Community Music Program. Her professional activities include orchestral performance, chamber music, and adjudication across the US. She holds degrees from The Ohio State University (DMA and MA) where she earned a prestigious University Fellowship.

Research Interests: Specializes in clarinet performance pedagogy, chamber music ensemble techniques, and orchestral repertoire preparation. Active in professional development through the International Clarinet Association's Social Media Committee.

Recent Performances: Highlighted performances include the 2024 Liebermann trio performance and 2023 Chicago Flute Club recital. Maintains active performance schedule across orchestras like the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra and Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
