Magdalena Nazarkiewicz is an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, serving as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Design and head of the General Visual Arts Studio. Since 2002, she has taught drawing and composition, focusing on interdisciplinary practices that merge graphic design, illustration, and artistic printmaking.
- Education: Graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2002), with a minor in photography under Prof. Waldemar Jama. Studied at the Faculty of Communication Design, University of Duisburg-Essen (2001).

Her monograph Portrait of a Portrait reinterprets portraiture as a transformative process rather than mere imitation.
