Mads Breckan Claudi is an Associate Professor in Nordic Literature at the Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Oslo. He has previously held academic positions at Telemark University College, University of Southeast Norway, and Oslomet – Oslo Metropolitan University. His research and teaching are centered on literary history, poetry, literary didactics, and the role of literature in democratic society.
His research interests include literary historiography, interpretation methods, the societal functions of literature, and the legitimization of literary education in democratic contexts.
