Madelyn Ball is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Notre Dame of Maryland University. She holds a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from American University. Prior to her academic role, she served as principal at The John Carroll School and The Catholic High School of Baltimore, and held leadership positions at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. She has extensive experience as an adjunct faculty member at institutions including Trinity College, Catholic University (Washington, DC), and Frederick Community College.
Her professional engagement includes roles on the Technology Committee, Assessment Committee, and Initial Certification Committee at Notre Dame. She administers the Chalk and Wire ePortfolio program and has been an Associate of the School Sisters of Notre Dame since 2018, advocating for clean water initiatives, immigration policy reform, anti-human trafficking efforts, and educational projects in Haiti. She has also served on the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges’ Domestic Schools Advisory Committee for eight years.
Her teaching focuses include Accelerated Certification in Teaching, MAT programs, and leadership specializations such as Administration & Supervision, Gifted Education, Special Education Leadership, and STEM education.
