- Education
- Molecular Biotechnology Engineering, University of Chile (2001-2006)
- PhD in microbiology, Technical University of Brunswick and Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (2009)
Her work investigates how legumes host beneficial, parasitic, and commensal bacteria within root nodules to identify common principles and differences in microbial interactions. She previously led a research group at the Chair of Genetics at Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich (2015-2023) and was a postdoctoral fellow there (2010-2015).
