MJ Thompson is Associate Professor in Art Education at Concordia University, researching performance studies, dance, writing pedagogies, and visual art. Her work spans feminist theory, embodiment, gender/sexuality studies, and art-environment relationships.
Funded by SSHRC, Thompson examines everyday aesthetics and movement practices. She is currently writing a book on Québec dancer Louise Lecavalier and received the National Park Service Arts and Sciences Residency. Thompson has contributed to arts publications internationally for over twenty years.
