METİN ERDEM

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Erdem is an Associate Professor at Bingöl University's Women and Family Problems Application and Research Center in the Social Work Department. He holds a doctoral degree from Yalova University and has served as a Research Assistant (2015–2024) before transitioning to his current faculty role in 2024. His research focuses on suicide prevention, existential therapies (logotherapy), spirituality in healthcare, and clinical social work practices. Erdem has published extensively in international journals and contributed chapters to books on topics such as clinical interventions for suicide risk and interdisciplinary approaches in social work. He actively participates in academic conferences, presenting on themes like post-disaster mental health and neurosocial work innovations. Erdem also serves as a referee for journals including Frontiers in Developmental Psychology and Journal of Religion & Health. His teaching includes courses on social work theories, clinical practices, and human behavior analysis. His certifications include diplomas in logotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapies.
