MARIA CRISTINA RIGANO

Maria Cristina Rigano is an Adjunct Professor at UNINT’s FIT & FDE, specializing in Fashion and Food Terminology, Event Management, and Fashion Media & PR. She is also a seasoned Fashion Events Manager and Advisor to the Italian-Lebanese Cultural Institute in Rome. Her career spans over three decades, blending academia with professional roles in fashion, media, and cultural diplomacy.

Education: Holds a Bachelor's in Oriental Studies (Arabic Language) from La Sapienza University, Rome, and advanced diplomas in Arabic studies from La Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris. She completed specialized courses in project management (ENSPM, France) and television production (Orbit Communications).

Research interests focus on fashion communication strategies, cross-cultural terminology, and the intersection of fashion with cultural institutions. Her work includes organizing high-profile events like the International Couture Fashion Show (ALTAROMA’s official calendar) and serving as a jury member at Cracow and Jordan Fashion Weeks.

Professional achievements include over 20 years in fashion event coordination, managing the press offices for global brands like Abed Mahfouz and Maison Celestino. She has also contributed to fashion journalism as an editor for Rendez-Vous de la Mode and UFASHON.

Awards highlight her contributions to fashion communication and event organization. She remains active in teaching and consulting, bridging academic rigor with industry practice.
