M. Rebecca Livingstone

Professor M. Rebecca Livingstone chairs the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religion at Simpson University. Her pedagogy emphasizes analytical historical thinking, focusing on decoding worldviews, beliefs, and values of past societies rather than mere event memorization. She integrates immersive role-playing simulations through Reacting to the Past (RTTP) pedagogy and frequently leads international May Term programs for experiential learning.
