Dr. Münevver Bartamay is a Lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature at Bingöl University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She holds a BA from Dumlupınar University (2005), MA from Bingöl University (2017), and a PhD from Atatürk University (2023). Prior to her academic role, she taught English at primary and high schools in Bingöl from 2005 to 2016. Her research focuses on literary analysis, postcolonial studies, trauma representation, and cultural narratives in Western literature, particularly exploring themes like migrant experiences, memory, and historical identity.
Her recent publications include studies on John Maxwell Coetzee’s Jesus Trilogy and Julian Barnes’ The Sense of An Ending, contributing to debates on trauma, narrative structure, and cultural representation. She presented at the TARA International Sociolinguistics Research Symposium (2023) and authored a book on Muslim woman representation in Lord Byron’s Gavur and Pierre Loti’s Aziyade. She is based in Room D2-10 at Bingöl University.
