Lynsey Pinchen

Lynsey Pinchen is the Associate Head of School for Crime, Policing and Investigation at the University of Sunderland's School of Social Sciences, holding the academic rank of Senior Lecturer. With over 25 years in policing and higher education, she transitioned from a 16-year career with Bedfordshire Police and Durham Constabulary to academia. Her roles included frontline policing, detective work, and leadership as a sergeant.

• MSc Counter Corruption and Counter Fraud Studies from University of Portsmouth (2013)
• PhD in Policing from Northumbria University (2022)

• Evidence-Based Policing (EBP) adoption in frontline practices
• Police organizational cultures and research integration
• Mixed methodologies, including Q Methodology

**Teaching**: Leads modules like Evidence-Based Policing, Problem-Oriented Policing, and Research Methods for Policing. Supervises undergraduate to PhD students.
