Lynne Barker is Associate Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at Sheffield Hallam University's Centre for Behavioural Science and Applied Psychology. A world expert in brain function and neuropathology, she leads research on traumatic brain injury, dementia biomarkers, and neurotechnology development including the Automated Dementia Assistant (A.D.A) and CogLAB assessment tool.
Research focuses on four key areas:
- Retinal imaging for concussion diagnosis
- Executive function development and impairment
- Digital cognitive assessment/therapeutic tools
- Microbiome-neurological disorder relationships
