Lynn Ulatowski

Lynn Ulatowski, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Biology and Program Director at LECOM School of Medicine, affiliated with Ursuline College. She specializes in molecular nutrition and vitamin E biology, focusing on its role in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and ALS. Dr. Ulatowski earned her BS in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from Westminster College, and her MS in Nutrition and PhD in Molecular Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. Her research includes vitamin E transport mechanisms in the CNS, liver fat interactions, and dietary interventions.

Key research areas include antioxidant actions of vitamin E, TTP protein regulation, and nutritional impacts on chronic diseases. She contributed to a USDA-funded national dietary study (FRUVED) and served as American Society of Nutrition Science Policy Fellow (2015–16). Her work spans over 20 peer-reviewed articles, with notable studies on vitamin E sequestration in NAFLD, neuroprotective mechanisms, and pandemic-era dietary changes.
