Lynn Knipe

Dr. Lynn Knipe is an Associate Professor with joint appointments in Food Science & Technology and Animal Sciences at Ohio State University's College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. He holds B.S. (Ohio State) and Ph.D. (Iowa State) degrees, with industry experience as Food Scientist at Hillshire Farm. His extension program supports Ohio meat processors through technical assistance in food safety, labeling compliance, and process optimization.

Research focuses on quality and safety improvements for processed meats, including novel preservation methods, regulatory compliance, and process validation. He developed educational resources for small-scale processors and conducts workshops on HACCP implementation, sanitation protocols, and labeling requirements.
