About
Lyman A. Page Jr. is James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Physics at Princeton University. Research focuses on cosmic microwave background measurements to probe early universe physics and cosmological parameters using ground-based, balloon-borne, and satellite platforms.
Research pillars include:
- CMB anisotropy and polarization analysis
- Dark energy and neutrino mass constraints
- Instrumentation for millimeter-wave astronomy
- Large-scale structure formation
As founding director of the Atacama Cosmology Telescope project and Simons Observatory, has pioneered high-precision CMB mapping techniques. Recent work includes improved measurements of structure growth through combined CMB lensing datasets.
Honors include Breakthrough Prize (2017) and National Academy of Sciences membership. Advises graduate students in experimental cosmology and detector development.
