Lydia Kuhnert

Dr. Lydia Kuhnert is a Research Associate and Veterinarian at the Institute of Pharmacology, Pharmacy and Toxicology, University of Leipzig. Her work focuses on toxicology and pharmacology in veterinary contexts, particularly studying xenobiotic transport proteins, antibiotic resistance, and environmental toxin impacts on animal health.

• Research Themes: Xenobiotic transport mechanisms (e.g., ABCG2, RFC), glyphosate toxicity in horses, antibiotic resistance in agricultural animals, ELISA-based biomarker development (e.g., porcine calprotectin), 3R initiative for in vitro models.
