Lutz Hendricks

Lutz Hendricks is a Professor of Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with his office located in Gardner Hall 06C. He teaches advanced macroeconomic theory courses at both undergraduate (Econ520) and graduate (Econ720, Econ920) levels.

Dr. Hendricks received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Prior to joining UNC Chapel Hill, he held faculty positions at Arizona State University, Iowa State University, and the University of Sydney.

His research focuses on macroeconomics, with specific expertise in human capital and economic growth. His work encompasses overlapping generations models, dynamic programming approaches to macroeconomic theory, infinite horizon models (both discrete and continuous time), endogenous growth theories, and stochastic growth modeling.
