Luke Nelligan

Luke Nelligan, DO, is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Chair of Family Medicine at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He previously served as Director of Medical Education at Community West Hospital and Director of its Family Medicine Residency Clinic, with over two decades of experience as a preceptor for medical students, interns, and residents.

• Education: DO from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (1991); Chief Intern at Hospital of PCOM (1992); Residency in Family Medicine at Graduate City Avenue Hospital (1994).
• Certifications: Board Certified in Family Medicine; Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hospice and Palliative Medicine from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
• Professional Leadership: Past President of the Indiana Osteopathic Association and PCOM Alumni Association; instrumental in establishing Marian University's osteopathic medical school (MU-COM).
• Teaching Roles: Small group facilitator in Introduction to Clinical Medicine courses; lecturer and table trainer in Osteopathic Principles and Practice courses.
• Additional Skills: Holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Lean SixSigma certification.

His research focuses on outcomes in post-acute care clinical medicine, complemented by his clinical leadership in hospice/home care and academic contributions to osteopathic education.
