Luisa Quintero is an Associate Professor of Teaching at Wayne State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Department of Romance Languages. Her expertise spans Latin American film studies, second language acquisition, and experiential learning integration in education. She holds a Ph.D. in Romance Languages from Wayne State University (2008) and dual baccalaureate degrees in Anthropology (University of Michigan, 1998) and Spanish & Literature (University of Medellín, Colombia, 1988).
Her research focuses on the intersection of film studies and cultural history, particularly analyzing how Latin American cinema represents marginalized youth.
