His work analyzes national allegories, postmodern Latin American literary theories, and the intersection of ideologies, politics, and aesthetics in contemporary contexts, with particular focus on migration narratives and gender representations.
He has supervised senior theses on border documentaries, Tijuana's urban mythologies, border fence photography, and Northern Mexican narratives. Currently, he is authoring a manuscript exploring border representations in literature and film.
