Dr. Luis H. Moreno is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Ethnic Studies at Bowling Green State University’s School of Cultural & Critical Studies. He earned his Ph.D. in Chicano/Latino Studies from Michigan State University and is among the first globally to hold this degree. His work focuses on labor, migration, and activism in Chicano/Latino communities.

Dr. Moreno’s research explores intersections of labor history, migration patterns, and social justice movements, particularly in Ventura County and the Midwest. He has taught courses such as Introduction to Latina/o Studies, History of Mexican Americans, and Mexican Transborder Culture. His publications span journals like Journal of American Ethnic History and encyclopedic entries on pivotal Latino historical events.
