Luis Eslava is a Professor of International Law at Kent Law School, University of Kent, and holds concurrent roles as Research Professor at La Trobe School of Law, Senior Fellow at Melbourne Law School (University of Melbourne), and International Professor at Universidad Externado de Colombia. He also serves as Programme Faculty at Harvard Law School's Institute for Global Law and Policy (IGLP) Global Workshops. His research focuses on international law, international development, international economic law, legal theory, and the historical and anthropological dimensions of international law.
He leads the International Law and Politics Collaborative Research Network at the American Law and Society Association (ALSA) and directs the international research initiative Ruptures21. His work bridges legal scholarship with interdisciplinary approaches to global governance and socio-legal studies.
