Luis Arnías is a Part-Time Lecturer in Film and Video at Tufts University's School of the Museum of Fine Arts. He holds an MFA in Film/Video from Bard College and a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
His artistic practice examines:
- Afro-Caribbean identity in visual media
- Transnational migration narratives
- Racial trauma through horror conventions
Films have been screened at MoMA Doc Fortnight, TIFF, New York Film Festival, and Berlin Critics' Week. Recent works explore black consciousness across geographical spaces and material journeys of humanitarian aid.
Awards include:
