Lucía Navarro Brotons is an Associate Professor of Translation and Interpretation at the University of Alicante, holding dual doctorates in Translation Studies (UA) and Linguistics (Paris 13). She specializes in phraseological translation, audiovisual accessibility, and legal/commercial translation pedagogy. Currently teaches in the BA in Translation & Interpretation, MA in Institutional Translation, and the Interuniversity PhD in Translation Studies.

Awarded Outstanding Doctorate Prize from UA and international recognition for doctoral work. Directed 53 theses/master's projects including the 2025 defended doctoral thesis on Phraseological Units in Arturo Pérez-Reverte's Novels.
Active organizer of international conferences, committee member for peer-reviewed journals, and held interim academic secretarial roles at the Department of Translation & Interpretation (2015-2016).
