Lucy Raven

Lucy Raven is an Associate Professor at The Cooper Union's School of Art, specializing in animation, moving image, and multidisciplinary practices combining photography, installation, sound, and performative lectures. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Serpentine Gallery (London), Centre vox de l'image contemporaine (Montreal), Portikus (Frankfurt), Hammer Museum (Los Angeles), and Nevada Museum of Art (Reno).

Raven's research explores the intersection of visual media and performative practices, with specific focus on:

• Experimental animation techniques
• Multisensory installation environments
• Interdisciplinary approaches to visual storytelling
• Expanded cinema practices

She co-founded the moving image research collective Thirteen Black Cats and has been recognized with the Berlin Prize for her contributions to contemporary art.
