Lucy Norling

Dr. Lucy Norling is a Senior Lecturer and Versus Arthritis Senior Fellow at Queen Mary University of London's William Harvey Research Institute, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. She holds a PhD from the same institution and has conducted research at Harvard Medical School under Prof. Charles Serhan. Her work focuses on specialized pro-resolving lipid mediators (SPM) derived from omega-3 fatty acids, exploring their role in resolving inflammation and treating arthritis. She has received significant funding through fellowships from Arthritis Research UK and Versus Arthritis.

Dr. Norling's research aims to understand how SPM reprogram immune cells and joint tissues to promote tissue repair in inflammatory arthritis. Her current project, supported by a 5-year Versus Arthritis Senior Fellowship, investigates mechanisms to restore joint function and reduce disability in arthritis patients.
