Lucy Bray is a Professor in Child Health Literacy at Edge Hill University's Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine. Her work focuses on optimizing information provision for children and families during healthcare procedures, with expertise in qualitative methodologies. She has led over 140 research outputs and 18 projects since 2003, addressing topics like pediatric surgery preparation, mental health service access, and digital health interventions. Notable contributions include co-developing the Xploro app for procedural preparation and the iSUPPORT standards framework. Lucy holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Manchester and actively supervises postgraduate researchers.
