Lucrezia Nava is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Sustainable Business Management at the University of Exeter Business School. Previously, she held roles including Assistant Professor at Baruch College and Bayes Business School, and Postdoc at Cambridge Judge Business School. She earned a PhD in Management from ESADE Business School (Barcelona) with a thesis on 'Organizations in Nature: How Nature affects Organizational Practices', which was nominated for the Best PhD Thesis Award. Her multidisciplinary research focuses on organizational responses to environmental stimuli like climate change and natural disasters, blending organizational theory, behavioral strategy, and natural sciences.
Education highlights include a CEMS MIM, dual Master's degrees from Bocconi and ESADE, and a Bocconi Bachelor's in Economics. She has taught extensively across institutions, receiving high teaching evaluations in courses like Management and Society, Environmental Sustainability, and Strategy & Leadership. Active in academic service, she co-founded the Sustainability PhD Community and serves on the Editorial Review Board of Organization & Environment and the Board of Directors of Project for People.
Her research employs quantitative, experimental, and qualitative methods, informed by fieldwork in Brazil, India, and Benin. She has organized conferences, workshops, and seminars, and regularly reviews for top journals such as Academy of Management Review and Business Ethics Quarterly.
