About
Lucie Marandel is a Researcher at the UMR INRA-UPPA 'Nutrition Metabolism Aquaculture' unit, University of Pau and the Pays de l'Adour (UPPA). Her work focuses on epigenetic regulations induced by nutrients in teleost fish with complex duplicated genomes.
- Education:
- PhD in Biology (INRA UR1037 LPGP, Rennes, 2008-2011)
- Master in Biology, animal production and quality (University Rennes 1, 2006-2008)
- Engineer in Agronomy (ENSA-Agrocampus, France, 2005-2008)
Her research explores the interplay between nutrition, epigenetics, and gene duplication in fish, particularly rainbow trout. Key projects include studying hypoxia and dietary carbohydrate effects on metabolic programming, glucokinase expression in salmonids, and transgenerational impacts of parental nutrition. She has contributed to national and European projects (Aquaexcel 2020, ARRAINA) and collaborated with DSM Nutritional Products.
Advising: Lucie supervises undergraduate, Master II, and PhD students, including co-directing one PhD candidate and hosting foreign PhD trainees. Her lab, part of the UMR NuMeA unit, investigates fish metabolism and epigenetic mechanisms.
