Lucas Herchenroeder

Lucas Herchenroeder is an Associate Professor (Teaching) of Classics at the University of Southern California. His research focuses on Classical and Hellenistic literature and culture, intellectual history, and the history of science, particularly the interplay between historical and scientific thought in ancient Greece.

His work explores the development of historical methodology in the 4th and 3rd centuries BCE through interdisciplinary analysis of literary and scientific traditions. He has received recognition for innovative teaching, including the USC Provost’s Interdisciplinary Teaching Award in 2021.
